We warmly invite you to enjoy our delightful Christmas buffet, served from November 21st to December 20th, 2024. Experience all the flavors of Christmas, carefully prepared from scratch by our skilled chefs using the finest ingredients. Our Christmas buffet offers something for everyone, with a mix of traditional dishes and new flavors, as well as a wide selection of vegetarian options. The evening begins with a warm glögg reception, followed by a festive meal where you can indulge in the richness of the Christmas spread. Our carefully curated dishes include both beloved classics and new tastes from around the world, ensuring everyone can find their favorites. End the evening with a cup of coffee and a large dessert table filled with sweet treats.
Our newly renovated Restaurant ONE is located on the first floor and offers one of Gothenburg's most inviting atmospheres, with timeless elegance that enhances the ambiance and sense of togetherness. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, offering a beautiful view of the river, making it a lovely place to enjoy a Christmas buffet.
PRIVATE CHRISTMAS BUFFET IN CHAMBRE SÉPARÉE
For larger groups and companies, there is the option to book an exclusive Christmas buffet in Gothenburg by renting Restaurant ONE. This spacious restaurant can accommodate up to 260 guests and is equipped with the latest technology: two projectors, two retractable screens, an excellent sound system, and flexible lighting options that can be adjusted to your preferences. The possibilities in this space are limited only by your imagination.
With a private bar, Dandy Bar, adjacent and the option to open up the wall to the Congress Hall, located next to Restaurant ONE, the entire first floor can be transformed into a private event space for up to 400 people. The Congress Hall features a 22 square meter stage, modern technology to match the restaurant, and an optional dance floor. This area can easily be converted into the perfect mingling or dancing space in connection with your Christmas buffet.

CHRISTMAS-INSPIRED LUNCH
Enjoy a 3-course Christmas-inspired lunch in View Skybar & Restaurant on the 12th floor, with a stunning view of the harbor entrance. Perfect as a break during your conference or as a pleasant way to wrap up before the Christmas holidays.
The lunch is served Monday to Friday from November 21st to December 20th, 2024. A minimum booking of 10 people is required.
The Tradition of the Christmas Buffet
Celebrating Christmas with a traditional Christmas buffet is a custom that dates back to Viking times when the expression "drinking Yule" first emerged. The Middle Ages introduced Christian Christmas celebrations to Sweden, including Advent.
Over the years, the dishes on the Christmas buffet have varied and evolved. Among the oldest dishes, we find Christmas ham and veal brawn. Dishes like sausage, gravlax, red cabbage salad, and various types of herring were added later, while the meatball didn't appear on the Christmas buffet until the 1970s. The modern Christmas buffet consists of dishes that are partly linked to the fasting rules of the Middle Ages, partly to the tradition of slaughtering the Christmas pig, and partly to old preservation methods like pickled herring. Traditional drinks are also served with the Christmas buffet. Fermented grain beverages, such as beer, have been common in Scandinavia since pre-Christian times, while spiced spirits became popular in the 1700s, and aquavit later became a common Christmas drink. Did you know that the classic song "Hej Tomtegubbar" has been sung at Christmas celebrations since the early 1800s?
