Way Out West 2024
Gothenburg is once again preparing to welcome music lovers from around the world to Way Out West 2024, taking place from August 8th to 10th. The festival, which has become an institution in Sweden’s music scene, promises an unforgettable weekend filled with music, culture, and community in the beautiful setting of Slottsskogen.
Program
The program features an impressive lineup of major national and international stars, as well as the most interesting newcomers. Some examples of the artists include Fred Again.., Jack White, PJ Harvey, Pulp, Icona Pop, The National, and Susanne Sundfør. Additionally, there will be film premieres, delicious vegetarian food, and an extensive club program under the name Stay Out West, which continues late into the night across central Gothenburg.

Sustainability in Focus
One of the most distinctive aspects of Way Out West is its commitment to sustainability. The festival has long been a pioneer in environmental efforts, and 2024 is no exception. The festival is entirely vegetarian and climate-neutral, striving to reduce its ecological footprint by using renewable energy, minimizing waste, and encouraging public transportation and cycling to and from the event. Way Out West has also introduced reusable cups and other initiatives to further reduce the use of single-use products.

Since its inception in 2007, Way Out West has hosted world-renowned artists such as Prince, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine, Neil Young, M.I.A., Alicia Keys, Stormzy, Frank Ocean, Robyn, The xx, Patti Smith, Solange, and The Cure, to name a few, on the stage in Slottsskogen.
